Autoresponders in Internet Marketing

Autoresponders are one of my favorites tools. I used to do business in the traditional word( I owned a pizzeria, for delivery only, like pizza hut department, but much butter than pizza hut in France),and the process of delivery, was after the preparation itself, the core of the business. But that was to much work to handle for a single man, so I had a team ready to deliver at anytime. Why I love so much auto responders?Your business is on autopilot.Once averything is setup properly, you can forget it, and focus on a second business. Will call that: Set and Forget technology. What I have learned from one of my teachers in Internet Marketing is that you definitively need an autoresponder if you want to success in internet business. You don’ t know what is an auto responder? Aren’t you tired of taking the time to manually follow upwith every single one of your potential customers? Keepingtrack of names, e-mail addresses, and what marketinginformation you’ve sent to which lead is exhausting, isn’tit? Here it is:The Auto responder does all of that “cyber-paperwork” for you. You simply set the system up, and it runs completely independently: Your leads ask you for information […] read more

Using public domain information

Using Public Domain information is an easy way to create products and then sell them in the form of ebooks, reports, or create content for your website. If you haven’t noticed, there are tons of ebooks for sale on eBay. Some of these ebooks are just thrown out there at a penny. I believe a lot of these sellers are just looking to increase their feedback rating. But eBay states that you must make some money from your ebook, so you’ll often see shipping at .99 cents or something like that. And then you’ll see other people who are selling ebooks that are actually getting good dollar value for their product. You can see that they spend more time creating a nice listing. So how do you get in on this action? And you’re probably thinking, should I create my own information product, is it worth it? I’m here to say, yes go for it! It’s a great way to work hard, create the product and then profit. So how do you get all this content? The Public Domain. Anything published prior to 1923 can be used. We’re talking about audio, music sheets, books, manuals, and so much more. There […] read more

The Basics of Pay Per Click Advertising

When I think of Pay Per Click, I think of a marketing strategy that has two different sides – one where you pay for published ads and one where you get paid for publishing ads. Somebody is always paying for the click, whether it is you clicking on someone’s ad or another person clicking on your ad. Pay Per Click depends on how you look at who is paying. If you use Google to search the internet then you may find that your search results include “Sponsored Links” (on the right hand side of the search results page). If you click on any of the Sponsored links, the advertiser that placed the ad you clicked must pay Google for that click. If the advertiser is you, you are the one that pays. The price that you would pay depends on how much you have bid on the keywords used to generate the ad. This marketing tactic is called Google Adwords. In addition to the ads being displayed with the search results, Google allows owners of websites and Blogs to display the same ads as contextual ads. Contextual refers to content that relates to the subject of your web page. This […] read more

Stop and Go Marketing

Stop and Go marketing and ENERGY go hand in hand. Stop and Go marketing says what it is. We go out to market for time periods and then we get busy with our work and stop marketing. Here is the problem with that. Using the example of a funnel filled with clients and business contacts, when we stop marketing the funnel becomes empty over a time period. When the clients dry up we go back to our funnel, which is empty and once again, we panic and rush out to market. Are you familiar with the word and concept of retention? It means keeping your current clients rather than losing them and having to find new ones. It costs a company quite a bit less to keep a customer than it does to go get a new one. With marketing your business, it takes quite a bit less energy to keep the flow of contacts and clients coming through the funnel than it does to have the funnel empty only to begin again. Here is a great example of a metaphor I that we experience everyday. I was on the way to my hair appt this month. I chose to […] read more

Offline Marketing Ideas

Recently I participated in a forum discussion about offline marketing – that is using more traditional marketing offline to drive traffic to your website or blog. I can still remember the first time I saw a URL in a TV commercial and how cool I thought that was. The offline world has the constraint of geography, so the least expensive forms of viral marketing are going to be geographically bound, which can be challenging for some sites. Someone on the forum said that offline marketing is a waste of time for most sites or blogs. I think that is a false generalization. In fact, every site should practice some form of offline viral promotion. We call these efforts drive to web programs and they can be very successful. There are two important pieces to all promotion, and they become even more important in promoting your site offline. Just like the online world, your success at offline promotion is going to hinge on putting your message in front of the prospect in the right context – meaning at the right time and when they are in the right mood to perform the action you are looking for, which in this case […] read more

How background music can influence your buying habits?

If you think music doesn’t affect you, you’ll be changing your tune after reading this. This is a true story of a recent study from Leicester University in England. You’re off to the supermarket and decide to stop by some shelves offering French and German wine. You make up your mind to buy a bottle of the French wine. While checking out, you’re asked why you picked the wine. You respond “The label looked great”, or “I liked the price”. Then you’re asked if you noticed the French accordion music that was playing when you took that bottle off the shelf. You say that you did. Did it affect your choice of wine today? No, of course not, you answer. That’s funny because on the days that French music is played nearly 80% of shoppers chose the French wine. On the days that German music the Opposite happens. In other words, this study found that if you bought some wine from their shelves you were 3 or 4 times more likely to choose a wine that matched the music than the wine that didn’t match the music. Guess what these wine-buyers responded when asked at the checkout if the music […] read more

Is Email Marketing Dieing?

Many internet marketers have deduced that email marketing face the worst crisis since its discovery. They ground this conclusion on the massive increase of unsolicited emails known better as SPAM. Recent Research has proved that the clicks of every email campaign have been reduced to the lowest point. Before few years email campaigns were very productive with click percentage of 15%-25%. Unfortunately this ratio has dropped to 2% today. Since every internet user receives a huge amount of spam email messages, the time for distinguishing the legal opt-in subscriptions messages from spam has increased considerably. Therefore it’s highly possible for the user to erase the genuine messages with the spam messages. Although these facts are true, the “Death of email marketing” as some internet marketers call it, will not happen. Solid proofs for that are the many corporations, small businesses, and home business entrepreneurs running successful and profitable email campaigns. All these successful email marketing campaigns do have something in common, some specific principals that any online business entrepreneurs should incorporate into their marketing plans. Personalization. Research has proven that when Personalization is used the click through rate of the email increases dramatically. The friendly tone is the key to […] read more

Seven Common Marketing Mistakes

When marketing your product or service, you need to have a firm understanding of your audience, the message you want to deliver, the offer you’re willing to make, and the optimal timing for your marketing campaign. Too often novice marketers, even marketing veterans, make costly mistakes that result in poor performance of their marketing campaign. Common marketing mistakes can be avoided with adequate planning, attention to detail, and ongoing measurement and evaluation. If you’re considering a traditional marketing campaign, an Internet marketing campaign, or something that’s never been tried before, be sure to avoid these common marketing mistakes. Timing. You may have a great list, a fantastic offer, and even a well designed marketing piece, but if your timing is off, so too will be your results. As an experienced marketer, I have seen some very expensive marketing campaigns that were very compelling but failed to produce results. This is because the campaign reached consumers at a time in which they had no interest in buying the product. For example, trying to sell snow shovels in July would not be considered good timing. Failure to Test Your Headline. As the first thing your prospect usually reads, the headline is essential […] read more

The Advantages of Branding

Branding is the process of creating distinctive and durable perceptions in the minds of consumers. A brand is a persistent, unique business identity intertwined with associations of personality, quality, origin, liking and more. Here’s why the effort to brand your company or yourself pays off. Memorability. A brand serves as a convenient container for a reputation and good will. It’s hard for customers to go back to “that whatsitsname store” or to refer business to “the plumber from the Yellow Pages.” In addition to an effective company name, it helps when people have material reminders reinforcing the identity of companies they will want to do repeat business with: refrigerator magnets, tote bags, datebooks, coasters, key rings, first aid kits, etc. Memorability can come from using and sticking with an unusual color combination (FedEx’s purple and orange), distinctive behavior (the gas station whose attendants literally run to clean your windshield), or with an individual, even a style of clothing (Author Tom Wolfe’s white suits). Develop your own identifiers and nail them to your company name in the minds of your public. Loyalty. When people have a positive experience with a memorable brand, they’re more likely to buy that product or service […] read more
