What to avoid in an email marketing campaign

hen you decide to have an opt-in list, it is not just a matter of sending your subscribers your promotional newsletters or catalogs. There are many things to consider in avoiding many complications. While there are so many ways you can make people subscribe to your list, there are also some things you must do to avoid subscribers from wanting to get off from your list. Aside from that, you also want to avoid any problems with the law and your internet service provider or ISP. There are now many laws and rules that are applied to help protect the privacy of the internet users from spamming and unwanted mails. With the popularity of the electronic mail as a medium for marketing because of the low cost, many company’s have seized the opportunity and have flooded many people’s e-mail accounts with promotional mail. Personalize your Autoresponders

Have you ever walked into a store in your town, and been addressed by name? This has probably happened to you at stores that you frequent often. The shop owner knows your name, and uses it. He remembers you, and he wants you to know that he cared enough about you and your business to remember you. In the offline world, this is just one aspect of customer support. Customer service like this is almost impossible to achieve on the Internet, but some semblance of it can exist when you personalize your autoresponder messages. Autoresponder messages can be set up to address people by their first or last name or both. In fact, there is quite a bit of personalized information that can be added, depending on the autoresponder that you are using. Many internet marketers have deduced that email marketing face the worst crisis since its discovery. They ground this conclusion on the massive increase of unsolicited emails known better as SPAM. Email is a good way to stay in touch with customers because when people come online, one of the first thing they do is check their emails. Email list is still the most valuable asset online. No wonder email volumes continue to grow. EMarketer study found that e-mail volume in the US will rise to nearly 2.7 trillion by 2007. Keep your audience email with you. Your blog or any other facilities online should have email notification built into it. But one of the major problems online is unwanted commercial bulk email otherwise called spam. When you send bulk mail, it drains and affects the server so the authorities are after those who send unsolicited commercial bulk mail. And they have built technologies and filters that prevent bulk mails going into inbox.
