Do promotional pens still work?

Every time you turn around there’s someone on your phone or doorstep, trying to sell you pens for you to use for promotional items. Every time they show up, you buy a few hundred or thousand, though more than likely you have a storage closet somewhere that’s full of them. That’s because you’ve bought into lie number one: Pens are a great way to easily promote your business. The truth is a pen is good for branding your business, but it does little to promote your business. Why? Because it doesn’t do any real promoting! A pen with your logo, name, address and phone number just tells people who you are. It does nothing to make them want to use your company’s product or service. Worse, it just lies around, waiting to be picked up and used-and mostly it will be used to make a grocery list, not to find your company’s name and address! Lie number two is that pens are a great way to inexpensively market and promote your business. This isn’t true, and that closet full of pens should be proof enough. Yes, you can get fairly cheap promotional pens, but you know what they really tell […] read more

Do you have haemorrhoids?

Hemorrhoids, also known as piles, are an incredibly common medical condition and yet it is something which is rarely talked about. It is believed that 50% of Americans have this condition by the time they reach the age of 50 and yet only 500,000 of these people seek medical help for the problem. Of these, between 10 and 20% require surgery to have their hemorrhoids removed. Hemorrhoids are caused by the veins in the rectum and anus becoming swollen. The location of the piles can be internal or external and the symptoms vary dependent on this. If the hemorrhoids are internal, they can go undetected as pain receptors are not present internally. The only evidence of the problem can be blood in the bowel movements as they pass through the area. External piles are widely known to resemble a bunch of grapes and can be extremely painful for the sufferer. Of the two types, it would appear that internal hemorrhoids are the better of the two to have as you may not even know it. However, external piles can be easily treated whereas internal piles, when left undetected, can result in more serious complications. If an internal hemorrhoid becomes severely […] read more

How Do Dogs Learn Their Behaviors?

Dog training is the process of behaviour analysis that applies the historical antecedents and resultant consequences of behaviour to change the dog’s behaviour, either for it to better perform certain tasks or undertake new ones, or for it to better behave in modern domestic life. It has two aspects – one is to change the dogs’ undesirable traits, such as aggressive or misbehaved behaviour; and the second is to fit it into the dogs’ personality or way of being, so that it can fit into today’s society and interact with others. The latter part is more difficult because many of today’s ‘pack’ animals are bred to be aggressive, have large canine feet, have short noses, long snouts etc., and so they are not naturally fitted as simple domestic creatures. However, this doesn’t mean that it is impossible to achieve this; indeed there are some very good books and courses to help you. However, if you do undertake particular ‘dog training’ tasks yourself, then the first step is to understand what you want to achieve, and then choose a programme that can help you do this. If you are looking for ways of changing your pet’s undesirable behavior such as aggression […] read more

Michael Jackson, Ben Jonson, and Other Pop Artist Traits

Michael Jackson was a major American pop singer, composer, and performer. Best known as the “Precious Little Dancer” and the “Bad Kid” in his solo career, he was one of the biggest names in popular music of all time. The King of Pop reinvented pop culture and took it to a new level. Notable hits include “Beat It” and “Who’s That Girl?” In his first year as a solo artist, Michael Jackson had two hits single out on the pop charts. Those were “Hambo” and “That’s All Right.” Both songs stayed at the top of the chart for over a week, making Michael Jackson the first artist to have two songs reach the top of the chart in a single year. While those two singles are no longer with us, he managed to have a six-week stay at number one, a record that still stands to this day. The last single that Michael had a part in was the epic “A Day In The Life,” which was another huge hit single. Selling over three hundred copies in its first week, the single remains as a single unbroken, and unarguable hit. No other artist has reached that mark since. As an […] read more

Does the product offer written, audio, and video demonstrations of the material? This is especially important if you’ve never played before. You won’t be able to tell if you’re doing it right from a book, and your ear isn’t developed enough to accurately hear if you’re playing the example correctly.
